Your face is your calling card, and the team at Gulf Coast Plastic Surgery can help you put your best face forward, with or without surgery.

Well-kept skin can be one of our greatest assets by revealing a smooth, bright glow that freezes time. As we age, we need to make friends with a healthy lifestyle, a broad-spectrum sunscreen, and a skincare team. Along the Emerald Coast, patients have found support with the team at Gulf Coast Plastic Surgery, who guides them on how to slow down the signs of aging.

At the forefront of the latest skincare technology and techniques are board-certified plastic surgeons Peter N. Butler, MD, Jocelyn Leveque, MD, and Nathan Patterson, MD, along with the team of advanced clinical providers and aestheticians at The Skin Care Center at Gulf Coast Plastic Surgery (GCPS) in Pensacola. For more than 20 years, GCPS has led the region in offering comprehensive surgical and nonsurgical solutions.

Better Skin In Your 20s and 30s

Our skin does not handle being neglected, often revealing our ignorance of sun protection, poor diet, or lack of environmental protection. Early prevention is key. “Patients in their 20s and 30s can benefit from a tailored skincare regimen and aesthetic maintenance with facials, peels, or lasers,” says Dr. Patterson.

Routine facials at the hands of a knowledgeable aesthetician at GCPS encourage fresh, vibrant skin. The HydraFacial, a patient favorite, combines dermabrasion, exfoliating, and hydrating treatments to provide glowing skin with no downtime.

For patients with fine lines, wrinkles, or uneven skin texture, microneedling or laser treatments are offered to achieve the best results. By promoting collagen production, microneedling effectively treats fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, and acne scars, leaving patients with improved elasticity in their skin. The CoolPeel CO2 Laser is one of the latest anti-aging technologies, offering less discomfort and downtime than other fractional laser treatments. The treatment targets and removes damaged skin and promotes healthy-looking skin while treating wrinkles, age spots, acne scars, and blemishes.

Nonsurgical Solutions to Facial Aging

“As patients approach their 40s, they may want to consider nonsurgical solutions like Botox, Dermal Fillers, and PDO [polydioxanon] threads to help combat facial aging,” says Dr. Leveque. “When performed correctly, aesthetic injectables, including Botox and fillers, are one of the best options to soften forehead lines, crow’s feet, or naturally add the volume lost due to aging.”

PDO threads are another option for patients who seek a more youthful appearance without having surgery. This new technique stimulates collagen and lifts and tightens the brows, mid-face, and neck, leaving immediately visible and improved results.

While nonsurgical and noninvasive options are highly effective at preventing or reversing signs of aging, surgery may be the best option for some candidates to achieve their desired results. “People want the face they present to match how young they feel,” says Dr. Butler.

At Gulf Coast Plastic Surgery, the physicians believe in being allies with their patients to achieve the best outcome. Drs. Butler, Leveque, and Patterson take time to listen and address patient concerns and recommend the most natural-looking options for their patients during consultations.

Along with their team of dedicated nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and medical aestheticians, the doctors see themselves as their patients’ partners when it comes to helping them look their very best. “Our goal is to help each patient feel confident in their appearance, no matter their age or stage of life,” says Dr. Patterson.
