Nestled in the heart of Pensacola, Florida, The Arc Gateway has been a beacon of hope and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for 70 years. Established in 1954, this nonprofit organization has dedicated itself to enhancing the quality of life for those it serves, offering a wide range of programs and services tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.

The Arc Gateway’s mission is to provide life-changing opportunities that enable individuals with disabilities to live more independently and productively. The organization achieves this through a comprehensive approach that encompasses education, employment, and personal development. One of the cornerstone programs at The Arc Gateway is its children’s services, which include early intervention and developmental instruction for children. The Pearl Nelson Child Development Center is a vital part of this effort, providing therapy for children with developmental delays. The organization's Program for Adult Learning and Support (PALS) offers education focusing on life skills, independent living, job coaching, resume building, and interview preparation.
