For more than three decades, McCaskill & Company has been a beloved cornerstone of the Emerald Coast—a place where heirloom craftsmanship, Southern hospitality, and brilliantly curated jewelry come together in one unforgettable experience. Now, as the Destin showroom unveils its stunning remodel and expansion, the family behind McCaskill & Company is ushering in a fresh chapter of growth with the same values that built the business from the beginning.

The McCaskill story begins with founder Bill Campbell, whose journey into fine jewelry started long before the brand became a Destin institution. Inspired by his grandmother—a McCaskill whose influence ultimately inspired the company name—Bill reinvented his future at age 40, leaving the hardware industry to pursue something that truly sparked his passion. With a small case of hand-selected jewelry, he began knocking on doors, selling to neighbors, friends, and anyone drawn to his eye for beautiful pieces. His talent quickly earned him representation from respected designers, including the legendary Henry Dunay. That pivotal relationship helped establish McCaskill & Company as a serious destination for fine jewelry long before the store had a permanent home.

From a tiny 10×10 kiosk in Seaside to a boutique at The Market Shops, the Campbells grew quickly, ultimately building their freestanding Destin showroom in 1999. Today, the store spans roughly 10,000 square feet—offering inviting hospitality spaces, a reimagined bridal gallery, an expanded service and repair department, and a warm environment that feels more like an elegant home than a retail space. The newly expanded showroom now provides not only additional space to showcase featured designers, but also a dedicated Rolex environment, an elegant David Yurman Salon, and other enhanced areas designed to elevate the bridal and custom jewelry experience.

McCaskill & Company’s newest expansion began with a practical realization: the parking lot was full nearly every day, especially during the busy holiday season. When the land to the west became available, the team purchased two lots with the goal of accommodating their growing clientele better. As planning unfolded, the vision naturally evolved—transforming what began as a functional improvement into an opportunity to reimagine and enhance the entire space.

The remodel became a creative labor of love for Bill and Elizabeth’s daughter, Carolyn Brigman, who worked closely with her mother to shape every detail of the project. They partnered with Birmingham architect, Cherri Pitts, a residential architect whose thoughtful approach brought a welcoming, home-inspired feel to the expansion. The interiors of both the original store and the new wing were shaped by experienced Birmingham designer Richard Tubb, whose refined aesthetic ties every room together.

Guests now enter through grand glass and wrought-iron doors into a breathtaking foyer featuring a dramatic slab of exotic stone and an airy installation of hand-blown maple leaves crafted by Brit Deslonde of Glass Deer Studio. Suspended leaves above add artistry, color, and movement to the space.

Throughout the showroom, multiple seating areas offer places to relax—near the fireplace, within the bridal gallery, and throughout the renovated wing—creating pockets of comfort that invite visitors to linger.

McCaskill & Company is home to an exceptional roster of designers, including David Yurman, Roberto Coin, Erica Courtney, Oscar Heyman, and Kwiat, along with many other celebrated names in fine jewelry and timepieces.

The store is also proud to be an Authorized Rolex Service Center, with certified technicians on staff, allowing clients to receive expert care and precision service directly on site—an offering that further distinguishes McCaskill & Company.
