Freedom Boat Club - Seas the Day

Whether boating is a lifestyle or just recreation, Freedom Boat Club allows you to experience all that is to love about boating while leaving the less desirable, and often costly, aspects behind. The Gulf Coast offers endless coastline to explore while creating long-lasting memories. Unfortunately, owning a boat comes with a list of cash outflows including storage, launch fees, insurance, sea tow, and maintenance to name a few.

Six years ago Russell Atkinson and his wife, Elizabeth, were discussing a new boat for their family of four. They quickly realized their needs were so great that just one vessel would not suffice. Russell wanted a center console fishing boat, while Elizabeth preferred a pontoon. They both agreed they wanted to spend time, unplugged, with their children and extended family.

This was when the Atkinsons became Freedom Boat Club Members. Not only did the fleet of vessels meet their needs, but it also granted them access to new boats every year as inventory is typically less than two years old. Russell notes, “When my family is together, we are on the boat, and we are plugged into each other, not technology. This has been the best thing for my family and has really brought us closer together.” The Atkinsons were so thrilled with their membership that they recently purchased all nine Gulf Coast Freedom Boat Club locations stretching from Madisonville, LA to Panama City Beach, FL.

Each location has an extensive fleet containing the latest technological features including Garmin GPS Fish Finders, VHF radios, and Bluetooth stereos. The fleets include a variety of vessels including deck-boats and pontoons, as well as 22″- 28″ center console boats powered by Yamaha 4-stroke single or twin engines. The many choices give Club members the ability to enjoy all the coast has to offer, from Snapper fishing, tubing/skiing, sunset cruising, or chasing dolphins. Russell continues, “The thing I love the most about The Club is the family time and giving people the opportunity to enjoy everything about our area.”

With a one-time enrollment fee and monthly dues based on package selection, The Club offers variety and versatility at an excellent value for a fraction of the cost of owning a boat. There are three different boating packages to fit the budget and boating needs of those wanting to enjoy life on the water. Understanding that everyone has different levels of skill and experience, The Club offers unlimited training by licensed captains at no additional cost. It is essential for members to feel safe and comfortable taking their friends and family out for a day on the water.

Russell continues, “Freedom Boat Club utilizes a state of the art reservation system. With proper planning, there should not be a problem getting on the water at the time you choose.” Members are not required to submit a trip or boat plan; however, it is preferred so The Club can be prepared to provide assistance if necessary.

Freedom Boat Club eliminates all the downsides of the nautical lifestyle. The Club strives to simplify boat ownership by making it stress-free. Simply make a reservation at the marina of your choice, show up, and enjoy yourself.
