Prominence North – The New Seaside of 30A

Whether you long for the laid-back coastal lifestyle, crave adventure and activity, or enjoy indulging in live music and good eats, the D.R. Horton community of Prominence North has you covered.

D.R. Horton began building Prominence North during the spring of 2014 and closed the first triplex townhomes in July 2015. Located near Inlet Beach in the Northwest Florida Panhandle, Prominence North proves to be a prominent residential location. To date, D.R. Horton has closed on more than 300 triplex homes, with approximately 38 move-in ready units remaining in the 30A community. “Our homeowners include area residents buying new homes as well as business professionals who are relocating to the area. We also have retirees and vacation home buyers,” states Scott Whitehurst, Division President for D.R. Horton.

Prominence North includes 135 triplex buildings, which will host a total of 405 townhomes at completion of development. “The two-story townhomes range from 1,182 square feet up to 1,747 square feet, with prices starting at $375,400. Each unit features dozens of little touches that define a luxury coastal home, from the distinctive metal roofs and window shutters to the serene interior color palettes and granite countertops. That attention to detail and the wide array of activities and amenities offered at Prominence North have attracted a variety of homeowners,” explains Whitehurst.

In 2018, Hurricane Michael, a devastating Category 5 storm, slammed ashore leaving the development unscathed. Whitehurst continues, “We are pleased that the buildings did not sustain physical damage from the hurricane. Sales in this community are stable and comparable to the prior year.”

Residents of Prominence North enjoy access to a private town center featuring a large, covered event pavilion with a movie screen, fireplace, shops, and cafes. The Pool House features a resort-style pool, private cabanas, an outdoor dining pavilion, a fitness center, and bathhouses. The approximately 5,000 square foot pool area features beach-like entry complete with shaded areas in the water and on the pool deck. Whitehurst offers, “The pool house area is a place of refuge and relaxation for our residents.”

There are several beaches in the area for sunbathing and shelling, with Deer Lake State Park the closest at roughly one mile away. During the peak vacation season, a private shuttle service is available to ferry passengers from Prominence North to the Santa Clara Regional Beach Access area, which is about three and one-half miles away. “The access point gives our residents easy entrance to a beautiful beach with restrooms. There is also a lifeguard on duty as well as a wheelchair ramp for added safety,” notates Whitehurst.

Those wishing for a change of pace can take a short walk directly across the street to D.R. Horton’s sister community, Prominence South. There they will find the popular, local hotspot, The Hub, which is separate from the D.R. Horton portfolio. The Hub features live music, open entertainment space, a large cinema screen, a stage for concerts, restaurants, and a variety of retail shops.
