Sandy Roots Music Productions will be producing the 3rdnd Annual Gulf Coast Songwriter Shootout. Melissa Joiner, co-founder of GCSS, anticipates this year will be the best thus far. “Building this event with Nick over the last 2 years has been such a phenomenal experience. The buzz is out about the shootout along the Gulf Coast and writers who want to be apart of what we are doing are already contacting us. I am excited to see the caliber of musicians that enter this year,” said Joiner. Nick Biebricher, owner of Sandy Roots Music productions, believes the competition could not have found a better home than Hotspot Music and Grub. “The relationship we forged with Bobby Graves, Hotspot owner, last year is one that is sure to be long lasting. He was more than accommodating and it’s very apparent that he cares as much as we do about the success of the event. Bobby will once again provide the entire cash prize package for the 2016 event”, said Biebricher.

The Shootout is slated to start on September 12th and will continue every Monday night for six weeks until the finale on October 24th.

Professional Songwriters Anthony Crawford, Travis Meadows and Lynn Langham will judge the 2016 Gulf Coast Songwriter Shootout finale. Local singer songwriter Destiny Brown will be returning to host the event.

The Gulf Coast Songwriter Shootout will host a special “Celebrity Songwriter Round “ with these hit writers’ on Oct 23rd at the Hot Spot Music & Grub. Tickets will go on sale at the end of July and admission price will be $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
